Things to note:

  • Our typical walking tours entail daily trekking for 3 to 9 hours over a distance of 10 to 35 kilometers. It is recommended that participants have some prior trekking experience before embarking on the tours.
  • Hydration is essential on any long-distance trek. The exertion from a hike can makes you susceptible to dehydration or heat exhaustion. It’s recommended that you stay hydrated by drinking water regularly throughout the journey, avoiding alcohol and caffeinated beverages.
  • Proper hiking boots can elevate the trekking experience and minimize injuries. A good pair of hiking socks can also make all the difference between an enjoyable hike and an uncomfortable one. It’s important to choose hiking socks that provide good circulation, can keep your feet comfortable and dry to prevent blisters, and have good cushioning.
  • The ideal hiking clothes will accommodate all sorts of weather and temperature conditions. It is recommended to layer clothing designed for specific functions such as insulation, waterproof and windproof. Hiking outfits should be made of materials with good wicking properties like polyester, nylon or merino wool. Cotton clothing should be avoided it retains moisture and do not dry easily.
  • You are bound to encounter wildlife and insects during the hike. Choosing the right insect repellent is essential for pre-trekking preparation. It is recommended that you thoroughly treat the insect bites and clothing once insect bites are detected.

Bring a small thing from home that you want to leave in the mountains before departure. You'll know what it means when you reach the destination.
